About Me – Edwin Eshesimua
With over two decades of experience in engineering, construction, and project management, I’ve built my career around bringing structure, clarity, and excellence to every phase of a project—from concept and design through construction and closeout.
My foundation began at the University of Miami, where I earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering. That education set the stage for a lifelong commitment to building smarter, safer, and more efficiently.
Early Career & Core Foundation (2001–2015)
Right out of college, I dove headfirst into South Florida’s booming construction market. I began as a project engineer on multifamily developments and quickly advanced to managing large beachfront high-rise projects. During the Great Recession, I founded a project management company dedicated to salvaging and completing abandoned construction projects—an experience that sharpened my ability to navigate complexity, mediate disputes, and deliver under pressure. My work on high-end interiors for demanding clients during this period continues to shape my attention to detail and professional discipline today.
Technical Leadership in Specialty Systems (2015–2019)
U.S. subsidiary of Sika, a global Swiss-based leader in specialty chemicals for the building and automotive industries. As the Market Field Engineer / Application Development Engineer for the Silicone & Structural Glazing group, I served as the technical lead for vertical glass systems nationwide. My responsibilities included design and plan review, factory and field inspections, ASTM laboratory testing, training, and quality control. This role allowed me to collaborate across cross-functional teams—R&D chemists, marketing specialists, engineers, and plant managers—and strengthened my understanding of both technical execution and customer-facing support. Nationwide travel with the sales team also introduced me to high-level client interfacing and solution-based selling.
Expanding Expertise & Professional Growth (2020)
When the pandemic slowed the world down, I turned it into an opportunity for growth. I spent this period preparing for the Florida Professional Engineer (PE) Exam and completed the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification through PMI. Before the shutdown, I worked with a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) contractor, contributing to structural design as well as the full project lifecycle—from estimating and bidding to procurement, construction management, and closeout. This experience broadened my structural understanding while deepening my capacity to manage diverse project types with precision.
High-Profile Project Leadership (2021–Present)
I joined the development team for some of Miami’s most iconic and ambitious real estate ventures, including E11even Hotel & Residences and the Waldorf Astoria Miami under Property Markets Group. As Project Manager, I support developers, design consultants, and contractors by providing seasoned oversight, structural insight, and representation across all phases of development. I ensure that design integrity, schedule, constructability, and quality remain aligned—all while solving problems before they reach the field.
Skills & Technical Competencies
My experience spans multiple disciplines including construction law, mediation, finance, and technical engineering. I am fluent in a wide range of industry-leading tools and platforms, such as:
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Microsoft Project
• eBuilder
• Prolog
• Timberline Construction Accounting
• Suretrak / Primavera
• AutoCAD
• Procore
• SAP
• Salesforce Aspirations & Professional Vision
My long-term goal is to continue growing as a leader in large-scale mixed-use, hospitality, and high-rise development. I am driven by the desire to bridge the gap between design and construction—ensuring projects are not only built well, but built smart. I aim to expand my third-party project management services to support developers and owners seeking independent oversight, reduced overhead, and greater transparency throughout the construction process. My professional mission is simple: Deliver exceptional projects through clarity, collaboration, integrity, and technical excellence.
